Bee English ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Bee English mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the App.

- Authentication Data: One-time passwords (OTP) sent via SMS for login verification.
- Academic Data: Placement test results, assignment submissions (text, images, video, audio), grades, and attendance records.
- Location Data: With your explicit consent, we collect GPS location data for attendance check-in (geofencing), student safety tracking during program hours, and step count tracking.
- Health & Fitness Data: Step count data from Apple Health or Google Fit, used solely for the in-app step competition and leaderboard.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, battery level, and local timezone for operational and safety purposes.
- Chat Data: Messages, images, videos, voice recordings, and polls sent through in-app messaging.
- Usage Data: Login/logout times, connectivity status, and app interaction logs.
- Provide and operate the App's features (attendance, assignments, points, leaderboard, chat).
- Verify your identity through phone-based OTP authentication.
- Enable parents to monitor their enrolled children's academic progress, attendance, and location.
- Enable supervisors to manage their assigned student groups.
- Ensure student safety through location tracking during program operating hours.
- Send push notifications about assignments, attendance, points, and program announcements.
- Generate performance reports (weekly reports for parents, administrative reports).
- Maintain audit logs for security, accountability, and program integrity.
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as follows:
- Within the Program: Supervisors see data only for students in their assigned group. Parents see data only for their linked children. Administrators have access to all program data for operational purposes.
- Service Providers: We use third-party services for hosting, push notifications, and analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual data protection obligations.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process.
Location tracking is used exclusively for:
- Geofence-based attendance check-in.
- Student safety monitoring during active program hours.
- Geofence exit alerts sent to supervisors and administrators.
Location tracking requires your explicit opt-in consent and operates only during designated program hours. You may revoke location permissions at any time through your device settings.
We retain your personal data for the duration of your participation in the Bee English program, plus a reasonable period thereafter for legal and administrative purposes. Audit logs are retained as required for program accountability. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS).
- Token-based authentication with automatic session management.
- Role-based access control ensuring users only access authorized data.
- Database-level locking for transactional integrity (e.g., points system).
The App serves students aged 12 to 24. For students under 18, a parent or guardian must complete enrollment forms and provide consent. Parents have full visibility into their minor child's data through the App. We comply with applicable child data protection regulations.

- Request deletion of your account and data.

The App may store data locally on your device when internet connectivity is unavailable. This data is automatically synchronized with our servers when connectivity is restored. Offline data is stored securely on device.
